My Dad loved to come to Open House and always asked if I had Mrs. Eckmann/McCracken, that year.
Stan Stebing
I was lucky to have Nancy McCracken for 11th grade English. I thought it would be neat to pick Edgar Allen Poe as an author and quickly found that there were many other authors I could have picked that would have been easier. I think that it was because of all of those Vincent Price movies that I picked Edgar Allen Poe!!
Linda Goodrich (Mullen)
Nancy McCracken was a standout teacher, so energenic and devoted to her students. All of the students in my class were smart and deep thinkers. I remember the sessions on The Red Badge of Courage. She would print out sentences for discussion (from many of the novels we read) but I was so impressed mostly by the boys' views on Red Badge of Courage since war was on our minds then.
