Art was a memorable individual, he had awonderful personality. He had a smile that glowed and a great laugh that you could always remember.Pat Echelbarger
Arthur and I went to school all 12 years. Alderwood Elementary, Lynnwood Junior, and MHS. We used to play together all the time. He was a good guy who met his end too early. RIP Art!

Growing up with Art, was always a blast. He lived behind our porperty in old Alderwood and was a fun person to be around. He was part of our kid gang and will miss him. Kenny Davis

I'll never forget the first day of block class 7th grade. The teacher was at the map of Washington and pointed to the Strait of Juan de Fuca and asked if anyone could spell Juan de Fuca, this being day one, no one raised their hand for a while then I decided to "step up to the plate" and spelled Juan de Fuck. Dead silence, except for Art, he busted up laughing falling out of his chair! From then on everytime I saw him, it was "Juan de Fuck!" Be at peace Art.

Gary Goebel-Was that in Mr. Elmer's class in 7th grade? I seem to remember that. Mr. Elmer was very straight-laced and didn't know what to say. Art always had an infectious laugh!Gary Goebel
Probably. All I remember was Art laughing and me wanting hide under the desk!

Does anyone remember our band, the Shadows? Art was drummer, Rick Walker and I played guitar. We played a few times at the Hilltop club on Damson road, I can still see Art pounding away, lost in the beat.
