It is with a conflicted heart that I bid you a temporary goodbye.  My heart is heavy with sadness at your passing but it is also thankful that God has choosen to end your suffering and bring you home.  Your reward for the amazing life you lived will be laiden with love and warmth.  No more pain as you begin your new adventure.  Until we meet again old friend, I will embrass the times we shared.

So sorry to hear of Don's passing.  I remember playing basketball inside their old chicken coop at their place on North Trunk (36th).  It was more like football in a building and a hoop.  Great fun.  Well wishes to Sue and Don's family.  He will be missed.

Several of us high school friends went on to WSU together. Such good times, especially our freshman year, playing basketball and cards and going to games. I didn't have a car my first year in Pullman, but Don did. He had that classic, burgundy, 1953 Mercury. He and I and usually one or two others would often pile in the car on a Friday afternoon for the 6-hour drive home to the Edmonds area for the weekend. More often than not, Don and the others would be tired and want to sleep, so Don would ask me to take the wheel. I was always worried I would somehow be driving when something bad happened to his wonderful car. It was definitely made to cruise those long flat roads of Eastern Washington, although I don't think I ever quite got the hang of when and how to put it into overdrive. So glad I have those fond memories of Don. He will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear that Don has passed. I always enjoyed talking to him and Sue at our get together at

our Reunions at Stan and  Sherri's home. Bless his family during this time.

So glad we all had  Don in our lives and be able to have been able to make a difference to each others lives with wonderful memories. Rip my friend.

I didn't know Don real well, but I do remember he was one of the few high school students who drove their own car to school. In my rapidly aging memory I thought I remember him driving a Chevy.  I remember him as being a straight-up nice, gentle talking guy.  I was at WSU during that time but it seemed after the Freshmen year, the MHS students from our class, all went off in different directions. My condolences to Sue Ackers and his family.

I was so very sad to read about Don's passing yesterday.  We were good friends in high school and I have such fond memories of him.  Always looked forward to seeing him at our reunions!  He will definitely be missed!  Praying for him and his family.🙏
