Danny Dayton Osborn

Danny Dayton Osborn passed peacefully in the presence of his brother, Keith on December 24, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada where he made his home for the last six years. Danny began his life here on May 20, 1948.
Danny was preceded in death by his mother, Irene Mae (McAlpin) Osborn; and his father, Harold Eugene Osborn.
He was married to Nancy (Filbin) Nelson. He is survived by his daughter, Shannon (Osborn) O'Connor, husband, Michael; grandchildren, Jake, Kilian, Bridey, Grace and Caiden O'Connor of California; and leaves siblings, Paula (Dean) Valenca, Keith E. Osborn, Monica (Osborn) Nielsen, Darrell L. Osborn, Candace (Osborn) Rosenau; and numerous relatives from Washington, Idaho and Oregon.
He attended Meadowdale High School, class of 1966. He entered the Sheet Metal Union almost immediately after school and started an apprenticeship in Local 99, the same local of his father, uncle and various family members. He was selected to learn the detailing side of sheet metal and as a detailer he spent more than 40 years drawing blueprints and working tin in a fabricating shop or at various construction sites in Alaska, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, Nevada and others. He was well regarded throughout the industry for his skills.
He loved to ski and golf (although he was terrible at golf), work crossword puzzles, and play cribbage. He was an avid sports spectator. He supported and watched the Seattle sports teams and he freely offered his opinion about how their season could be better. His favorite Seattle Mariner was Raul Ibanez.
Danny was a committed Catholic and attended St. Brendan Catholic Church where he had his first Holy Communion.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Brendan's Catholic Church, Bothell, WA at 11:00 a.m. January 19, 2013. Danny will be interred following Mass at Floral Hills Cemetery, Lynnwood, WA joining his father, mother and cousin, Harold Dean Allison, in the Rose Garden.
He is with God today and returned to his family in Heaven.
