In Memory

George Reid (MHS '65)

With love and fondness we remember our dear friend George Reid. It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of George Reid yesterday March 30 from heart failure. Here, he is enjoying times of happiness with his partner, Nancy Pilon (Fong) class of '66, who also passed away a year ago. Their short time together brought them joy, and our time with them made our reunions and Meadowdale memories even richer. As information becomes available to share with details of a Memorial Service, we will pass it along.

George Reid (MHS 1965) will be laid to rest with honors at Tahoma National Veterans Cemetery in Kent Washington.
The Remembrance Service is scheduled for 2pm on Wednesday, April 25th at George's church located at:
Christ the King Community Church
21108 67th Ave NE
Arlington, Washington 98233
The family requests in Lieu of flowers that you consider donating to charities that George supported such as:
Operation Military Family Cares (www.OMFCares.org) Wounded Warriors, like organizations or the charity of your choice in his honor.
The family looks forward to seeing you there.
Anne Mackie (MHS 1965)

I didn't know George in high school but met during the Multi-Class Reunion Committee Meetings in 2013.  In 2015 I was invited to attend the MHS 1965 50th reunion committee meetings to help me with the planning of the MHS 1966 50th Reunion.  By that time George and Nancy were a couple since meeting at the 2013 Multi-Class Reunion.  George and Anne Mackie were a great help in getting the Class of 1966 50th Reunion on track in the right direction.  George and Nancy then attend the several of the Class of '66 reunion meeting until Nancy's health began to fail.  I would also see George and Nancy at the Deming Car Show at the Log Grounds and that is when we really had time to visit.  It was fun getting to know George and visit.  George and Nancy are now reunited and I look forward to when I get to see them again.
