Richard Paul Vaughn was born on July 8, 1948, in Seattle, Wash. He passed away on February 18, 2016, from complications of liver cancer. He is survived by his daughter, Sharee Redfield, and grandson, Kolten; his mother, Irene Smith; sisters, Judy, Sandy and Tracy, brother, David; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. Richard lived life fully. He loved the outdoors, spending many weekends hunting, fishing, camping and hiking. He enjoyed flying in small planes, and went skydiving for the first time on his 50th birthday. He loved traveling and meeting new people wherever he went. He was a member of the Washington Blues society and attended many blues festivals and concerts. He had a great sense of humor and a wonderful laugh...he will be deeply missed by his family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Crossway Fellowship, 6328 180th St SW, Lynnwood, WA 98037.
