Genny and I met when we were 12 and we remained friends until her death. We were in each others' weddings, served tours of duty overseas with our military husbands, and cried on each others' shoulders during divorces. She grew into a wise and astute adult who was loved and respected as the matriarch of her family.

Genny was a true and loyal friend. I will never forget her bright eyes, infectious laugh and great energy.

Genny and I met in sixth grade at Interlake Elementary School. We became good friends and remained so until our lives took different paths. I moved to Montana and lost contact with her. I thought of her often, wondering how her life turned out for her. I remember her as a caring person and one that was always fun to be around. Today, after all these years, I consider myself very lucky to have crossed paths with her in my life. I'm sure her other friends feel the same way.
